We currently have no concrete plans to bring the return of capes. If capes were to come back, it would only be official Minecraft capes such as the Pancape, Cherry Blossom Cape, Pride, etc. Third-party capes are not an official method of adding capes and therefore, would not be restored in the case of capes returning.

For those concerned about 4 team maps for BedWars Solo and Duos, I doubt they'll be going anywhere. Remember, those maps are designed for both Bedrock and especially Java. If 8 team maps were to arrive, they'll be Bedrock exclusive and can coexist with the 4 team maps without replacing them.
