He did, Java is dead because their most popular game had a bad update and the dev team refuses to make any major changes. If they actually listened to the community feedback on it before and after the update we wouldn’t be upset with it.

The Hive is much more user-friendly, cleaner and has a distinct feel, while CubeCraft feels stale. Even Minerware, which wasn't broken in the 1.19 update now feels stale, it just doesn't feel like CubeCraft anymore.

You're more than welcome to suggest changes you think would be better in the feedback forums
I suggest you try out the gamemode first and do a feedback after trying it. I'm sure the devs will try by all means to make sure the game is balanced even with certain changes.

I will just mention that I am still happy that this update is finally out. Team Cube can fix these things fairly easily and since Halloween is still fairly far away they might bring back Ender.EggWars Season 2 is coming, and with it, the prices, types of armour and everything else are changing. tbh if ppl have the time to get pro4 dia in solo it's pretty much ur fault, if you played the right way games would have lasted 5min max

Yes thats so sad 1week ago Cube Had 3or4 k more Players and now hive hast 2 k more players.its funny how quickly the Players changed

See, many players, (including myself ) are beginning to migrate to the Hive because A) the Hive is just so much cleaner and always has been, and B) they don't massively change up games and never fix them.

before this update, I would have gone beside myself to say that you are wrong (and before this update, you were) but now, there is nothing that I can say... but don't lose hope maybe cubecraft will revrert this update if we all protest
