You can block yourself from other players by making a little obsidian shield around you right next to the obsidian surrounding the egg, so they don't keep pestering you. And even if they get a good pickaxe, you can place the obsidian you collect behind you to slow them down more.

Well, can the staff see anywhere the IP addresses of said chronic hackers? If so, the staff could look through the blacklists for identical IP addresses and IP-ban them. They surely won't get through that.
