Allow Mini Map users to use Teammate player entities

Kinda off-topic but how do they know if you have a minimap with players on it?

It's pratically impossible " it might go wrong and show the enemy"... I never countered a visual issue like this by playing on other servers.

Well, what I meant was, if cubecraft did allow maps, one of the plugins they added that shows teammates only might go wrong. (Idk anymore)

So i'm here to ask if there was a possibility to allow in the mods list the use of players entities on their map...

There is some Mini Map mods that allow you to show only your teammate or ALL player in a game.

Of course, All player will always stay Non-allowed, but i was perplex if it was possible to use the feature of certain Mini Maps that allow you to have only your teammate on the map. You would gain no PvP advantage or pvp tactic with this feature allowed.


Here is an example of what i'm talking about:

Has you see in the video, only my teammate are visible in the game, my enemies are hidden from my view in the video. And if i would go in a Solo game, all player would be invisible to me.

On my mind, i feel this should be allowed but, clearly state in the allowed mod list, something like this could be write: «only your teammate are allowed to be show, if you are miss understanding this, we highly suggest you ask a staff about this or to not have any player entities able.»

Note: I will not use this feature anymore utile it's allowed of course. If it will not be, then i'll not use this feature.

Cubecraft already allow Mini Maps... Just doesn't allow to have player entities show (or other entities that act has player eg; zombie in infected)

Self report, i'm someone that reports casually rule breaker. So that would be one of the danger :P

Technically you cant, however there are giveaways that indicate they may have that or tracers, if they seem to follow you and know exactly pinpoint accuracy, where you are at all times, chances are its one of the two, compasses only show the direction the player is to you, but if the player heads straight to you all the time most likely its tracers or entity minimaps

... Mini Maps that show Entitie Players are like the compass, their heigh will still be unknow. Tracer... It's just a damn visual Aimbot.

Minimaps are allowed themselves, as long as it doesn't show the position of other players. Minimaps like Rei's minimap is completely fine since it doesn't show you where other players are located.

Makes mod users op, thhey can tell easily if the team if raiding another, and if they are moving in irregular movements, you can assume they are in a fight and they are trying to stafe. Too much of an advantage

To be honest now that I think about it this could encourage team play. The only problem there is that not everybody uses a mini map which could result in a very coordinated team playing against a team that is not coordinated at all. The idea and thought about it is really good, but I do not think this would work out in reality.

Well that’s the uncoordinated teams problem. They could download the minimap if they wanted to.

Using that logic, should we install hacked clients of there are other hackers in the game? It's our fault we didn't download a client, right? (Answer: No)

I’m saying it’s their problem if they didn’t download an allowed client. (Btw the discussion is for your team not everyone)
