Currently the axes in Skywars do almost no damage on the 1.9 network. I remember seeing a bug report about a year ago with the lumberjack kit where axes did 1.8 damage and I think that is still in effect. The axes are so useless in games as a weapon other than for chopping wood and you would probably be better off using your fist than any type of axe at this point just for the speed. I think this is a bug but if this was an active decision by the devleopers to nerf axes it overnerfs them on the 1.9 network. Axes are a weapon that can really only be taking full advantage of in an open area where you have no chance of being knocked off so you can jump for crits and plenty of space to back off and play defensive. Skywars is the opposite of this making the axes a terrible weapon even if they did more damage than in vanilla imo. I see many people trying to use axes and I can just sit there eating without having to worry about every getting killed because they deal almost no damage so this needs to change just to prevent confusion.

I downloaded torohealth, crafted a wooded axe to show this applies to crafted axes as well. The wood axe did a whopping 1 damage for every charged hit. One of the hits I accidentally do with the wood sword did 2 damage.

You showed a wooden axe, of course that won’t do much danger, and tbh they do a lot of damage once you crit. I never played 1.8 but axes would be very powerful there

De nuevo, otra vez han vuelto a fastidiarla. De nuevo, otra vez sin preguntar y de forma totalmente unilateral, sin tener en cuenta a todos aquellos jugadores que apostaron junto a CubeCraft por la 1.9 en su totalidad.

...pero ese, teniendo en cuenta que la comunidad suele ser extremada y ridículamente sumisa, es el menor de sus problemas. El problema real está en que, como dije anteriormente, a parte de habernos impuesto una actualización que no respeta ni las mecánicas clave/base del juego(i) y que se ríe del papel de las hachas en el nuevo PvP 1.9, lo hacen mal, a prisas, de cualquier forma, sin pulir y perdiendo personalidad por el camino(ii).

Hoy estamos de luto por la muerte de la simplicidad, funcionalidad y epicidad de Cubecraft.

Os reto a encontrar mención alguna a la inutilización de las hachas en el changelog. Y sobre todo, os reto a encontrar mención alguna de este detalle dentro del juego. ¿Lo véis? Ninguna. Y pierde todavía más el sentido con esta pregunta:
---> ...¿Pero qué diablos os habría costado modificar los atributos del hacha? Algo más o menos así:

Ya que no os queréis complicar la vida, de la misma forma que habéis usado (y de mala forma, por cierto) EpicWorldGenerator para el UHC, ¿por qué no usáis CustomRecipe (este o este) para las hachas resultantes de un crafteo? Mientras que las de los cofres deben spawnear teniendo los atributos ya aplicados, cosa no tan difícil si de vez en cuando ya habéis spawneado items con nombres y encantamientos personalizados según el mapa, realizando proezas como hasta el soporte de un ítem con más de 1 nombre para distintos idiomas.



i = ¿Skywars sin flechas? De los creadores de la CocaCola Zero o el café descafeinado...
ii = Kills que no aparecen en el chat si recibe asistencia, gente que al morir se buggea en las coordenadas -1000000 1000000 -1000000 haciendo la partida prácticamente infinita/atascada, que un voto de "No projectiles" sea totalitario y absoluto frente a 99999 votos de "Normal projectiles" y "Soft blocks" juntos, nerfeo de kits sin devoluciones de puntos (al contrario de como hicieron en Survival Games), refill a lo hyp... que lleve esta lista interminable de bugs días desde el lanzamiento y no se haya corregido absolútamente nada... En fin.


Desastre. 2/10. ¡REACCIONAD!

Now I see why I kept dying while using the lumberjack kit. I swear I never saw that in the changelog too. Why did they even nerf it in the first place? There was nothing wrong with axes... I support this completely.

Only theory I have is that somehow they wanted to update 1.8 aswell, and 1.8 attack values and 1.9 got mixed..

Seriously guys (no offense), I don't think it is that hard to use a translator, you can't be that lazy.

If you don't know anything about a languaje is fine, but at least try to understand it by using a translator, that is why Internet is here on the first place, to help people.

I can speak/write/understand both languajes because in my case spanish is my main languaje and english is my second one because I studied years ago and it helps me a lot at my work.

If you want to know what "Xeahnotto" tried to say I can explain the main thing he is trying to tell. He is complaining about Cube changing things (the axe damage in this case) without telling anyone or leaving it written in the changelog.

He is also complaining about Cube enforcing us to accept the 1.9 combat update and then get rid of that with this "fixed axe's damage", even if it is only a bug that needs to be fixed. The final part of his message it's just about of how cube lost so many people on the server because of those mistakes.

Bare in mind most translators are really bad at translating. It's easier if the creator translates it. And thanks for telling what he meant btw, appreciate that.

Yeah, can be. But cube still is best. If he wants 1.8, cube has 1.8. if he doesn't like cube, he should stop coming here then.

No, no... Sorry, i dont understand english. I think is better to post my feedback in spanish than use translator because possible syntax issues, etc:
-> Im in love with 1.9 PvP.
-> I totally agree to restore axe damage. Also, i think that this nerf of the axes should have been indicated more clearly: for example, including the notice both in the changelog, and on the attributes of the weapon. (its more than evident that it was intentional)
-> Im very disappointed with this horrible, early and very buggy release.

Btw, @iWontKillYouNow, that attitude does not help CubeCraft improve as a server. Always be critical, and never be satisfied... but alwayls within common sense. After all, the great overwhelming majority has not bought any rank (not that that grants you more rights, but that it involves you in some way a bit more with this server) and we enjoyed it for free and above all we also have to give thanks.

Its the only server with PvP 1.9, and it hurts its stagnation and decay. It is like the fable of the turtle and the rabbit.

Think about that. :p

"Overnerfs them"? You all do realise that axes do more damages than swords in 1.9, right? That's the reason why they're slow and require good aiming and timing. Axes are powerful but slow, and swords are less powerful and fast.

Axes are terrible in the PvP situations that are in skywars and this thread isn't talking about axes being bad in 1.9 but axes being terrible in Cubecraft skywars where they are either nerfed or bugged to deal almost no damage.
