Admins used to have OP permissions for their corresponding game, meaning they could change and update a game without any developer work at all. The admins who famously come to mind would be @Jinjo and @Saradabaschi , and @OrangeGE. The former two were able to add minigames, new areas, achievements, a greater player cap, etc. to Skyblock, and the latter introduced new areas to FFA maps, added easter eggs, hosted competitions, and returned gear to the victims of hackers. These changes kept the games fresh.

As of right now, aside from the extra responsibility of taking care of new Helpers, Sr. Mod is a pointless promotion. Plus, it's still a role that could just as easily be handled by the Mod rank. So, why not give them the option, if they so choose, to become OP for a certain game?

For example, somebody who becomes Admin of PvP could add new areas to maps, introduce easter eggs, give players their gear back in Assassins if killed by a hacker, add new kits, etc.

Likewise, somebody who becomes Admin of Freebuild could host build competitions and whatnot.

It would mean not requiring a developer for every minor thing. Games could be kept fresh without needing a full-blown update :) It also adds an aspect of community-staff communication, which I feel is currently sorta absent.

Even admin is still a pointless promotion unless you're bff's with the management team, let's be real here, the admin rank has lost it's value drastically since approximately 2015. I get why though, with great power come big responsibilities which you'll give to an in real life friend sooner than someone who you only know from the internet.

At this point, from personal experience and speaking to a few ex-staff members, the entire senior staff team needs to be redone/revamped.

I believe Reina was the last """"Admin"""" this server had, aside from the management team. A big reason as to why Dani lost interest in the server is that she felt unappreciated due to the devaluation of her rank. If you have these long-time staff around, why not give them a few extra responsibilities? Gives them something to do and assigns them a sense of purpose within the team, and it gives the players an extra something to look forward to; win win.

Also, thanks for the twenty alerts, fourteen of which were "X liked your thread".

I've only been gone 90 minutes, that's proof that the people want this! \o/

If you call being a moderator with a red coloured tag being an admin, then you're totally right.

Seriously though, Reina was an amazing Admin, I couldn't name anyone else who deserved that rank as much as she did, she was amazing and very dedicated to her role in the team, but of course there's a downside, she was very very under appreciated in my personal opinion, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure that if, like you said, they'd assign certain roles to certain admins, she might've still been around here. But her leaving is just CubeCraft's loss anyway /shrug.

Tacos currently is in charge of Staff Recruitment.
Efcluke is head builder. (also in charge of Builder Recruiment)
Andy is web dev. Not sure what he does with the admin rank.
Quetzi is new so I seriously don't know what he does or is going to do.
Hubert is community manager.

Scrap all of that.

New postions:

Community Manager:
Staff Manager:
Build Team Head:
Dev Team Head:
Then an admin for every minigame.

Can confirm, senior moderator is a COMPLETELY pointless rank.
I was part of helper recruitment and helper mentoring when I was a Moderator and I never got Senior Moderator so it's definitely not something just for senior moderators to do.
The only perks that Senior Moderators get currently are being able to delete posts on a news thread and editing some forum profile information.

Regarding Admins, I have had conformation that the Admin rank is obsolete for Senior Moderators to be promoted to. Only people who work properly (NDA and all) for Cubecraft get Admin.
Tbh, this sucks. Hard working moderators should be able to get Admin and become a staff manager one day. Having only one single staff manager means all decisions are based on him (COUGH COUGH *All mods voted to allow swearing in party chat but the vote was changed because the staff manager believed it should be otherwise so party chat swearing is now not allowed* COUGH COUGH). Other staff members should be able to climb up to the ladder where they are able to contest the decisions of the staff manager and give their opinion which may actually be taken into account.

How were the people on the recruitment team chosen? Was it just random selection?
