Ideas for Eggwars Tournaments

So @Skifby has been running some pvp tournaments and they've been going much better than I expected :P I want to run an eggwars tournament and have a few ideas but wanted to make this thread to see what everyone thought the rules/guidelines should be. With that here's my current concept of how an eggwars tournament would work:

Rules​

1. All kits allowed.
2. Cubecraft rules.
3. Having friends focus an opponent or telling people in game to focus an opponent results in elimination.
4. Person who lasts the longest in game is considered the winner of that game.
5. Maps end and savannah are banned for pre built bridges.
6. Two opponents will enter an eggwars match as if it was a 1v1.
7. Normal mode or a mode both opponents agree to.
8. Hackers/Cross Teamers in a game make the game not count.

Questions for you :P​

1. Best of 1 or 3 games? -just games may last too long

2. Allow camping? -still a strategy I think I will only ban extreme cases of camping

3. Keep the 1v1 style? - might not work of well as you are not only going against your opponent but multiple other players.

4. Any requirements to enter?

5. Ban/unbann certain maps?


That's it Im going to try in run this for the month of November and if it goes well I might run a teams of 2 version or perhaps another gamemode like Survival Games :P​

I think it will work fine with the 1v1 style and whoever lasts the longest advancing :P won't be much different from your tournaments :D

Yeah but you can always focus your opponent and extreme cases of camping result in elimination. Anyway this thread is meant to discuss how to deal with that :P

The only style with the current maps would be:
- Go on a solo map
- try to get boxes next to each other
- Do a rush competition from the start
- He who gets the kill and egg wins

This will allow fast paced games, but it is not everyone's favourite style.

I suggested something similar a while back and @CaptainDawg_ said it was too late in the summer.
A lot of players would sign up on a server run event during the summer.
I was planning on re-suggesting it next summer.
