So freebuild is back on the network again. I've seen many questions asked by several players about this gamemode so I made this guide that will hopefully answer all the questions you had.
Creative
How to create a plot
You can create a plot by opening the creative menu, then click on a glass pain and your plot will be created.
The amount of plots you can own depends on which rank you are in-game.
Stone - 3 Plots
Iron - 5 Plots
Lapiz - 7 Plots
Gold - 10 plots
Diamond - 15 Plots
Emerald - 20 Plots
Obsidian - 25 Plots
open the creative menu by typing in /creative menu or by using the grass block in your hotbar.
Creative menu
The creative menu, It's an easy menu that allows you to do all sort of things. We now go through all the things this menu has to offer.
List of plots
The menu allows you to have access to all your plots. Just click on the plot you want to visit and it will bring you there within seconds.
Friends on creative
This option allows you to either teleport to a friend, or invite them to your plot (only works when your friend is in creative as well)
Public plots
You can visit public plots by clicking on the public plots option in the menu, it shows you a list of public plots. You can choose which plots you want to see, they're sorted by hottest, newest and most voted.
Creative lobby
Sends you to a creative lobby.
Help
The help command tells you to use the /creative command to see all commands you can use in the game.
Settings
This is the place where you can set your freebuild preferences.
Allow plot visits
This option allows your friends to visit your plot.
Keep menu items
This option allows you to keep the items where you left the creative server with. They will still be in your inventory when you rejoin the server.
Global chat
This allows you to see global chat and talk with players all over the server. You can talk in global chat by using a ''!'' every time you say something in chat.
Load on join
This allows the server to automatically load the last plot you visited when you join.
Plot menu
This is the menu which allows you to edit and do all kind of things on your plot. This menu only shows up when you're on your plot.
Rename
This option allows you to rename your plot. The name that you gave your plot will show up in the public plots list.
Upgrade size
This option allows you to upgrade the size of your plot.
Change themes
This option allows you to change the theme of your plot. Comes in very handy for example, when you want to make something related to snow and ice, you could use the snowy theme.
Set public
This option allows you to set your plot to public. This means that everyone can visit it.
When you've set your plot to public other players are able to vote for your plot and give it a diamond.
When your plot receives a lot of diamonds it could get featured in the creative lobby.
Editing your plot while it's on public is not possible.
Clear the plot
This option does what it says, it clears the plot you're currently on.
Public interactivity
By enabling this option, players that visit your plot will be able to pull levers, press buttons, open doors etc.
Set time
Allows you to change between day, sunset and night time on your plot.
Set weather
Allows you to change the weather on your plot.
Whitelist
This option allows you to whitelist friends on your plot. When you whitelist someone they can break and build blocks on your plot. It's highly recommended to only whitelist players on your plot when you fully trust them.
Once you've started your plot you can whitelist three other players on to your plot, this amount will increase by one every time you upgrade your plot.
Download
Click on this option and a download link will appear in the chat. Click on the link and your plot will be downloaded. You can use this option for example when you want to have your plot on a single player world as well.
FAQ
Where's world edit ?
There's no world edit available on freebuild at the moment. It will hopefully be added in a future update.
When I join teleport to my friend's plot I get teleported back instantly, why ?
Your friend might have 'allow plot visits' in the creative menu disabled. Try turning that option on and you should be able to visit his plot.
I'm on my friend's plot but can't build on it ?
Your friend has to whitelist you on his plot first, he can whitelist you by clicking on the whitelist option in his plot menu, then he needs to click on your profile. After that has been done you should be ready to build on your friend's plot.
I will try to update this thread whenever freebuild gets updated.
