This major spam issue is simply caused by one thing... diamonds.
(it's actually cause by two things but the whole "how does this gamemode work"-spam will go away afther a few weeks).
If you like a plot, you leave a diamond! Cool/unique idea you would say but it has a huge drawback.
People want more and more diamonds, and there's one way to get more. Spam chat! you'ill get loads of diamonds, for sure!
Me, as a "non-like farm"- player doesn't really enjoy this "I want diamonds" spam.

Let's get to the suggestion in this thread, i'v got a few actually.
-Remove the whole "give a diamond" feature.
-Disable colored chat in-game. (this should get changed in all gamemodes actually).
And to be honest, i'm almost sure that this won't happen, but something needs to happen!
So please leave a comment if you have an idea of reducing this spam. Because I can't come up with
anything else other than this (extreme) solution.

I totally agree, but I don't like spam and I simply don't see another way of reducing this spam.
And to report every single one of those spammers is pretty much impossible. (especially when they get punished weeks/months later).

No! I want to be able to chat with other people (that's why i'm playing multiplayer and not singleplayer) over at other plots, in a normal way. Without having to /tell, /fmsg and seach for messages between the huge spam.
Conclusion
Something needs to change, for real, or people will think that it's normal to spam chat.
And it would be a shame if we all end up disabling chat in a multiplayer game...
