/friend create status (insert msg here)

This will allow you to create a status for your friends to see. You can do /friend status (username) to see what your friend's status is .

I feel like a lot of players will abuse this. There could be offensive language in a status and when that occurs it's really difficult to see and punish them for staff members.

The idea is cool but I'm really unsure if players will actually use it..and if they use it I don't know if they will abuse it or not (as in inappropriate language, insulting players).

You could stop being friends with that player?(I personally would not care though) Also random people can't see your status, only friends.

That's a really good point. Always think of the staff first ;)

Not being able to view the status of non friends would make everything even harder than it already would be for staff members..:oops:

It's a different story if someone is using that to advertise another server.
Just randomly adds a player who accepts, checks status for the IP or server name.
"Hey check out this server, I'll add your as friend so check my status"
Can be easily fixed by letting staff bypass the system and allowing us to check statuses without being friends.

However, I think it's unnecessarily. You can always add them or get them to join the forums.
It's a good suggestion though.

It's okay. I'm not going to be demanding of this because it is nothing massive. But good suggestion none the less.

A nice idea but I don't support it. We already have forums for a reason where staff could moderate the messages that are posted on statuses. If we allowed this in game then it would be extremely hard to moderate and make sure that the statuses are not vialating the rules of Cubecraft.
