Egg Wars Strategy Series: Day 1

Hey all! Yesterday I posted a poll asking if people would be interested in providing input on a series about Egg Wars Strategies! Each day, I'll pick a different map, and ask a few questions about your particular strategy on it, and with a few replies, we can all discuss our strategies as well as learn new things we may not have known before!

Day 1 Map: Tropical (Normal Mode)

What's your favorite kit?
Money bags. I like having that few second advantage over my opponents in building to the sub-mid hut

Do you rush for the diamonds or gold in mid, or do you stay at your island and protect your egg?

I like to grab some building blocks and get to mid first. The two Level 4 generators provide 50 gold total, just enough for the obsidian egg shell. Plus, the diamond generator is only Level 1 at the beginning of the game, so as long as I don't give my enemies too much time to farm it, I can easily eliminate them and focus on upgrading the generator for myself.

What do you do if someone rushes your egg?
If someone rushes my egg while I'm away, I generally try to take their island (and egg) while destroying any bridge they built in the process. This will let me spend my resources peacefully, and gear up to eliminate them.

Do you have any tips for someone new to the map?

Be cautious of the neighboring island in the group of 3 next to you. It's very easy to build between these islands, and the egg is in a very vulnerable spot to be destroyed. If you focus too much on your immediate neighbors, you can kiss that egg goodbye.

Strategies per map? I just get leather armor, a wood sword, a dia pick, and some blocks and proceed to eliminate every1 >: )

Day 1 Map: Tropical

What's your favorite kit?: Money Bags just like @CptSwollhouse said I like being the first to mid, so I can early diamonds. I also sometimes use this kit to rush someone else.

Do you rush for the diamonds and gold at mid, or do you stay at you island and protect your egg?
I rush mid always to get diamond, usually I get gold at mid later in the game, but first I get diamonds. But I also get gold sometimes for the obsidian. But I also go for the other islands and kill the other players, and I camp a little so I can gear up then I go and beat everyone.

What do you to if someone rushes your egg? I go for their egg and then eliminate them. But I think you should probably rush them at the start of the game, and then you will have no opponents, and you can camp mid.

Do you have any tips for someone new to the map? Rush your opponents at the start of the game, and make sure to rush them first. Do not let anyone camp at dia gen will make life harder for you

I don't think that many people play eggwars enough to have a strategy for every map heck I've never played tropical before :P

Well you should try some new maps and play some solo eggwars if u don't

1. The golden pickaxe; when people try to barricade themself, i always use this kit late in the game, to mine away the sandstone! ;)

2. I'll stay rushing, until my egg is broken, then i gear up or try to sneak my enemy, i like to kill people their eggs, when they don't understand it!

3. I'll gear up, too. But i don't let this take too much time, because people will get too much obsidian, with a golden pickaxe eff 1 will this take for hours!

4a. Please don't camp, i saw many new players, but they stayed or their island, while there egg was already broken, this will only make then game much longer!

4b. A real tip is to give everything for the egg, when it's broken, it's most of the times impossible to win! If someone walks on your bridge, dont hesitate and try to punch him off! Also don't let people build above you, build along with them, or stay around the egg and hit them, when they come, so they can't mine blocks around your egg!

I just do all that comes to mind, Being good at PvP is a good strategy :D And I always use Healer despite the map, The most expensive resource out of the kits ;)

I don't really have a strategy for each map. I just do what I think is best in the moment. The game can go in any direction so there's no point having a predetermined strategy if it won't always work.

Day 2 Map : TreeHouse (OP Or Normal)
What's your favorite kit?
Healer, it provides me with free food and regen
Do you rush for the diamonds or gold in mid, or do you stay at your island and protect your egg?
I build a staircase from behind the villager to instantly take me to a lvl 3 diamond gen, lvl 1 diamond gen and lvl 3 gold gen, i usually barricade the iron gen to stall enemies and give me more time for diamonds,the generators are so close to each other which means i can grab both at the same time, when i have 27 diamonds (in Op) and a few pieces of gold i go back to the villager and buy myself a punch bow and the 12 diamond pickaxe
What do you do if someone rushes your egg?
If this was after my trip to middle i will constantly shoot the player as he is going to our egg
but if this was before my trip to mid i don't even care and get myself as much diamonds as possible (before an enemy comes) because i don't want to be under geared late game
Do you have any tips for someone new to the map?
Yes, Choose Team Green
The reasoning for this is because it gives you quick access to mid with limited amount of blocks, you could also do this with blue team but as mentioned above green team gives access to more generators, BUILD A STAIRCASE ALWAYS it prevents people from rushing you.
This is late game tip Safe Bridges Traps
First of all a safe bridge is with a roof and two block walls on both sides
You place two block high wall infront of you when the enemy will enter your bridge on your side break 1 block from the ground because most players sprint against the wall and mine so it will be an instant death as they fall
This is considered Spleefing them but you pre-made the hole.

Day 2 Map: Treehouse

What's your favorite kit?: Debuffer, this kit is good for rushing because when you go up the stairs you can debuff the enemies that are chasing you, and when you are at mid you can debuff people who are trying to come up to you.

Do you rush for diamonds and gold or do you stay at your island and protect you egg?
Rush for diamonds and gold, get 60 diamonds and 30-50 gold is for egg, and get out of there.

What do you do if someone is rushing your egg?
As a team we all try and stop him, I think though you should have 1 person on the stairs, 1 person standing to the entrance to the stairs
and two members scouting and roaming the island watching for intruders.

Do you have any tips for someone new to this map?
First of all choose, Green because it is closest to mid. Always have 2 players rushing and 2 players back on the island, always have a pickaxe on you when you are everywhere, so you can break blocks, and especially when you are at home when someone try's rushing you, and they block themselves in break the blocks. There is never to much obsidian on this map. One of the first things you should get is bow on this map, so it will make harders for the intruders to rush you

Day 1 Map: Tropical (Normal Mode)

Money bags. (Only for the new maps besides Pizza.) First to mid= Full chain, iron sword, golden apples, Diamond pickaxe, and obsidian.

Do you rush for the diamonds or gold in mid, or do you stay at your island and protect your egg?

Camp the gold until I have 2 stacks. Then I camp on the diamond gen until I get 5 diamonds. After that, obby my egg, get stacked and start the breaking and eliminating process.

What do you do if someone rushes your egg?
If someone rushes my egg while I'm away, and they break it. It's GG for them. I'll break their egg, and kill them. If there stacked and camping, I will physically target them. I need the revenge. :mad:

Do you have any tips for someone new to the map?

First off, ignore the egg in the beginning. Go strait to mid. Exactly strait to mid. Grab 2 stacks of gold run back and get stacked. Start eliminating people. Fast game. Easy game :D If your egg gets destroyed, go to the nearest abandoned island, get stacked, and elliminate the people that broke your egg. We must do revengeeee :mad:;)

Day 3 Map: Dwarven (normal mode

What's your favorite kit? Money Bags because you can hope on iron gen get 20 iron, get blocks and build to mid, you will be first to mid.
Get 5 diamonds and some gold and bring them back.

Do you rush for diamonds and gold at mid, or do you stay at your island and protect your egg?
With the money bags and some iron rush mid, get some dia and gold bring them back. Upgrade your diamond generator and then gear up
with leather and sword and go again. N

What do you do if someone rushes you egg?
Tell everyone to come back, and defend, if someone has a bow him off. With four of us defending 1 hit from everyone can kill the naked guy.

Do you have any tips for someone new to this map?
Always choose Pink or Orange they both have straight bridges to mid. They egg is also the easiest to build around.
Always use money bags, if you have it, hope on the iron heartier for a second or two and you're ready to go to mid. Have 1 person rushing everyone's island, after that go gear up and eliminate them.

Here is a couple of strategies I've employeed in games.

Pleb Bow Strat: Appearing as a pleb to other players i.e. naked or leather armour.
Pretendign to have no diamonds, baiting other teams to cross bridge then bowing them off.

The Tap And Run Strat: Going into peoples bases and gving them a tap when there on the gen, then running so they chase you, quickly pull up against a wall tight and bow them off as they run past you.

Eperl Best Pick Strat: For over powered games that are running into stalemates. Save up for eperl and best pick, get multiple iron sets instead of diaomond. Eperl in run to egg and destroy.

Deul Weild Bow Strat: Instead of equipping shield, equip a bow. Good with an axe combo to disable shield and then quickly bow people off.

Clock Strat: A quick rusher strat when you build to each isl;and in turn like a clockface, destroying each base and gearing up as you go.

Obby Protection Strat: Using obby to wall yourself in with enermy egg, also to block stairwells and ladders.

TNT Bomberman Strat: When egg is still alive and people are safe building over to your island, to build above them and drop tnt on them in a suicide attack.

The Eperl Chase Strat: To stock up on lots of eperls, making sure that you always have more than the oppent, so when they come to your island, you eperl away. Keep doing it until the other player gets titled, then postion them in a way where you hop over them and shoot them from behind.

The Kite Distraction Strat: Go into enermy base and get everyone to chase your round the island. Then get team mate to sneak to there egg and destroy.

EggWars Solo Strats-
What's your favorite kit- Armour Kit, as i don't waste time buying it/or when i die, i have a better chance to live

Do you rush for diamonds and gold at mid, or do you stay at your island and protect your egg? I find that protecting my egg to much of a hassle, and i'm above average on pvp, so i can deffinatly survive off one life, as I usually do. As for rushing the mid, i usually try to break peoples eggs as the go to mid, so they can't take my loots, and then sit on the gens.

What do you do if someone rushes you egg?
I start to cry, then for revenge GO BREAK THEIR EGG!!! MWUAHMWUAH hahahahah

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, trust me going for mid will pay off alot more than camping your egg only getting chain armour at max.
