Remove new 1.8 pvp system!

Since yesterday there comes an update of the 1.8 pvp in skywars and in eggwars i like the update but i think that the communication gonna die. When you join the server in 1.8.# join an other server than the people in 1.9.# and 1.10

The new update is to satisfy people who love 1.8. 1.9 as a whole was a very controversial update from Mojang's side so CubeCraft has given the option to play in both versions.

That depends on the server's community. On some servers, people didn't like it because of the PvP changes. On others such as minecraftforum, it was somewhat positive due to new blocks, elytra, new features, etc.

The reason why staff put 1.8 into the server was because it was so much easier to set up a replica server with 1.8 instead of a whole replica gamemode with only no cooldown for attack speed. It also means people can enjoy 1.8 mechanics better.

The reason why CubeCraft added a 1.8 server is to bring old players back that hates this pvp cool down :P Their server have been growing now as the 1.8 pvp is back so they are not going to remove 1.8 server's.

Eventually they'll come back to the old server don't worry. The new server is full of hackers. I played 4 games all with hackers. (They all been reported and banned ;))

Here's what I don't understand. Ever since Cubecraft updated to 1.9 I see hundreds of threads asking for 1.8 to return. CubeCraft fixed this by pitting in the dudes that you would click them join. Then players complained that the dudes were unfair, since you can't see the signs like the one for 1.9. Now Cubecraft is fully compatible with 1.8. Players beg for 1.9. Wat.:eek:

Back on topic: There's not many players on the 1.8 server though. Plus, the only thing right now is skyways and eggwars. Hopefully they might come back to the server. :)

Before when Cubecraft just updated to 1.9 players started to complain that they want 1.8 back. Now that CubeCraft's compatible with 1.8 they only want 1.9. :eek:

I think that the communication problem is due to the mix up with lobbies. Let me give you an example of what might happen with new players:

Scene change: In Hub
1.8 Friend: "Hey friend! Wanna play eggwars?"
1.9+ Friend: "Sure!"
1.8 Friend: "Ok cool! Meet me in lobby 5 eggwars!"
1.9+ Friend : "Ok! Coming"
Scene change: In Lobby
1.8 Friend: "Where are you??!!"
1.9+ Friend: "Lobby 5! Where are you?!!"
1.8 Friend: "I'm also in lobby 5!"
Then people get confused...

It would be better if Cubecraft could fix this problem by:
- Explaining to the users how to connect to the same lobbies on signs or holograms etc.
- Rename the lobbies for 1.8 to A, B, C, D, E, F... and keep the 1.9+ lobbies and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

I would agree to such a system because I have recently met many players in the lobby saying where is 1.8 or where are you xxYYxx?
