i think their should be a system to earn ranks. like it could be level based so for players who play a lot can get a rank.

This will not happen. Players won't buy a rank anymore and the sever will go down.
Donations keep the server running ;)

Earning ranks would make the game to overpowered. Everyone could have a rank in no time and there's no fun in the game. Players with a rank lower then diamond are very happy to see a diamond ranked dude so they can play another gamemode and then you get a nice communication. The only way to get a rank is to buy it. If you don't agree you shouldn't buy a rank. Have a nice day/night! :p

As @zDutchie said, it won't happen, ranks were made to keep the server running. Also, if you want to get a free rank, you can participate on giveaways (they make them on Twitter).
