Hey I'm sort of interested in running tournaments for the various games on cubecraft but there are many problems with this:

1. Time zones- cubecraft has so many people with so many different time zones it would be nearly impossible to get everyone on at the same time.

2. Conditions for elimination - now on smaller servers where I've ran tournaments I had set dates where I eliminated whoever I didn't see on that much for that week this is obviously impossible on cubecraft since I can't keep track of 10000 players.

3. Team gamemodes - having teams would just make the current listed problems even worse. What if one member doesn't show up? What if a member changes his/her mind about being in the tournament do I eliminate the entire team? Just so many problems that could happen running a team tournament that it would be too much of a hassle

4. Rules - do I allow kits? Do I allow targetting in certain gamemodes? What if someone votes op or basic does it count? Is camping allowed? What happens if someone's game crashes during a tournament are they eliminated? If the loser comains about serious lag do they get a rematch? Should I allow warm up rounds? Should I do it best out of a number or just one match per round?

I have so many unanswered questions on how I could get this to work so if you have better ideas than I have or have ways to solve unanswered problems that would be great :D

How I would do it:

So far this is all I have. Entries would be made via the forums or by messaging me on discord. Many restrictions would apply to who can enter (certain amount of wins, kills, ect.) you would. E required to screenshot your stats and send them to me. You would include your time zone and what times you can be on in an entry as well as any special events going on your life that month such as vacations that would cause you not to play for a bit. The tournament would run for an entire month and not on one certain day I can't be on all day. Those who wish to enter would be required to have cubecraft teamspeak or discord even if they don't have a mic (as its just a whole lot easier to organize that way) wins would be either recorded videos or screenshots of "your opponent has been eliminated from the game" or something similar. Screenshots would also have your computer's clock and date in them (so a full screen capture). The bracket would be posted in that tournament's thread showing every1 their opponents. Matchings would be attempted to be made with some1 who comes on at the same times as you. All accepted entries would. Be required to be in lobby 1 of whatever gamemode the tournament is about until their match has happened.

I really would like some help on how to set this up so the fewest problems happen. If you have any ideas please leave them below

Thanks for reading :D

I've been trying to plan some tournaments on Cube for a while, it just gets veeeeery difficult with the huge amount of players we have!

My plan is to hopefully add a ranked mode to some games, and then players who are in say...the top 100 ranks would be invited to the tournament. One day, maybe :P

Well I hope its not just kill ranks. There are strategies in which a person might stay back and put on obsidian and not go out and get kills.

I was going to start out with a simple pvp tournament which would only be kills but for other games it would most likely be wins that determine if you can get in. (This might be a problem as I don't have many wins on most other gamemodes) xD
