I was thinking about this one and I thought wouldn't be great to have Elytra's in OP mode in EggWars?!

To play eggwars, basically you protect your egg while trying to get other players egg.
If you have an egg and die, you respawn.
If you do not have an egg and die, you do not respawn and lose.
EggWars can Elytra's be added to OP?

good idea!!!! mabye make it cost gold because there is not much to buy with that other than arrows and gold apples.
I feel like this would be way too broken. All you would have to do it buy a bunch of blocks and an Elytra, and you could block up and fly around breaking eggs and flying to mid to get diamonds. It would have to cost like 3 stacks of gold to be even slightly balanced, not even mentioning trying to catch someone who keeps gliding around and running.
elytra doesn't sound like a bad idea.. but i don't think that they should add it, even if it comes.. it should be really expensive.. like a stack of diamonds, having an elytra gives you a good advantage, but the idea isn't so bad
Elytra does remove your chestplate, but it is still too overpowered because even if you only have an iron helmet, leggings, and boots you still will take practically no damage. We already have ender pearls, so -1 in my opinion.

i have to agree with you... already having all that armor and also being able to enderpearl.. and fly... nope too much
Are you guys sockpuppets? I mean, none of you have avatars, all you you like a suggestion no one else really seem to, not to mention your join dates are within one week (really close together). Also you're genders are all the same (male). Not to mention that all of you guys replied in a row.
I think it would be a little too OP because if you get shot off and you built up, you survive.

maybe if elytra had its own gamemode where it was balanced around using elytra it could work, but in op normal or hardcore it would break the game in almost all balancing aspects
I think it's a bad idea, if you have a elytra you can destroy de eggs very easy jumping from a high place (you can do the hight place putting blocks up), the elytra can have a long time and it's similar than the enderpearl.

It will encourage campers and also make it easier to get eggs if you know how to use the Elytra.
Firstly, you can stack all the way up, cover up yourself and wait for someone to build up to you and just fly off to another island and do the same. Imagine if it's a 1v1, builds up, flies, player comes again, builds up and fly. It would become a game of patience til someone decides to quit cause it's endless.
That is one of reasons why I think it should not be added.

No, this would be terrible because of the people who have no egg, are alone, and just run around. Now imagine them with the ability to fly, no thank you.
People complaining about Elytras and that they are super op when the game has enderpearls which do the same thing as the elytra.
In my opinion what could work is to buy a broken elytra which lets you fly less times and make it cost a lot
