If you have not read my other strategy on the volcano map, click here. Honestly I think that the arctic map really needs to get fixed, and more maps need to be added but I'm not going to go on about that here. If you insist on playing arctic instead of volcano, then here is my strategy.
Tip: Mobs only target you when you are touching the ground. This means that while you jump, mobs don't target you, so jump a lot while collecting ores to save you dying a lot.
Arctic:
There are 3 iron gens right next to each other at the start. This makes iron extremely easy to get. You should only need to spend a maximum of 3 minutes at it, any more and you are probably wasting time. Use the iron you collect to buy around 20-30 steak and around a stack of blocks. Use the gold generator to buy around 15-25 gapples, gear and diamond gens. This should take around 4 minutes. After you have done this, buy at least 2 diamond gens (3 is pretty hard to keep up with the mobs since there are a lot of them in a small space, and 1 will get you not many diamonds in the ammount of time you have) Ask a friend to lure the mobs in circles while you get the diamonds. You will need 50-80 diamonds depending on what kits are used. If one person has a defender kit, then you need 3 more obsidian to fully protect your wither with obsidian. If not, then don't bother getting 130 diamonds for it. Make sure you have 2 enderchests and an eff 5 pickaxe. Have one enderchest at your base, and one in your inventory to quickly store your ores if you think you are close to dying. Any spare diamonds, spend on gear and a sword. Don't even bother going to the middle, just sneak into someone's base and kill their wither. Do this by going around the side of their base, crouching when they are near you, and hiding yourself where ever you can. Killing the 3 withers will get you 15 points, and pretty much a guaranteed win. This is a good way to get coins as well, even if you somehow don't win, you will still get points. If a team gets too op, then quickly go to mid and grab some emeralds for gear, then come back.
Prison:
This one is more down to luck than it is skill. If you get 14 really bad pvpers and "noobs" then there is no way you are going to win. If you get a lot of people really good at the game and "pros" then you have a high chance of winning. Unless you can get 14 people who you know are good, on at the same time, in the exact same game, then gg to you. Personally I don't ever play on this because of this exact reason, but if you are looking for a 50/50 chance of winning and a pretty quick match, then prison is for you.
Getting resources is pretty hard on this one, so be wise on what you spend your ores on. Get iron for around 4 minutes, and buy food and blocks with it. Don't bother buying armour since it's a waste of iron. After this, use the gold gen to get chain gear, a stone sword and gapples. With the rest of the time you have, go to the diamond gen, and depending on how many you can get, get either gear, an eff 5 pickaxe, or both. Tip: Do NOT buy the eff 2 diamond pickaxe. It was 20 diamonds for an eff 3 pickaxe a short while ago, which I bought all the time, but now it is only eff 2. It isn't worth being about 1 second quicker at breaking blocks for 10 diamonds. Either get the eff 1 diamond pick, or the eff 5. Depending on what pickaxe you get, either rush middle or rush their wither. Don't bother defending your wither, it's stupid because it ends up splitting your team up and makes you easier to defeat. If all 15 people charge their wither, while half their team is at your base or middle, then getting their wither will be really easy, then you can kill them when they spawn again. While the other team may have got your wither in this time, you will have already brought their numbers in people down significantly, and unless they have really good gear and really good pvpers, then you will probably win after this.
