so, in the middle of a game, after approximately 5-10 minutes, it will say in the chat "CARE PACKAGE INBOUND "
This is when a beacon will be automatically be placed in a random place heading towards middle, and coloured beacons can be suitable for maps like Rainbow & Candy.

Depending what gamemode you are playing, you would get reasonably overpowered stuff, now obviously it would be hard to get as most people would be rushing towards it.
Such as for Normal Chests- Sharpness 2 Fire Aspect 1 Iron Sword or a Knockback 4 Wood Sword with 1 Durability (this is completely optional)

Sure, OP chests are a good enough addition, the Care Packages should come if someone spends "x" amount of points. For example, there would be an option before the game letting you choose whether you want to spend the points on a Care Package, and it will land on your island in a random place. This chest will have additional items to what you already have and 1/5 chance of a rare/slight OP item. <- Now I'm referring to Normal chests. OP chests you would have the "Mega-OP items", like 3-4 god apples, and 3 enderpearls, etc. The weak care package (for the weak chest selection) would have stuff the Normal chests would have. But yeah, I like the idea, it will be a cool way to spend points.

x=3,000 and you have a maximum of 2. Donators can have unlimited (Not bypassing EULA as ANYONE can get it :D)
Huh. Sounds pretty neat. I think it'd be cooler if an enderdragon flew over the map, dropping chests from the sky and letting them land wherever.
AND THEN YOU HAVE THE PERSON WHO SUMMONED THE CARE PACKAGE JOCKEYING THE ENDERDRAGON ;D YASSSSS M789-360

I think it would be great I am an iron donor and the donators should be able to spend less for a care package (if the EULA allows that) so donators cost for it could be 3500 points and stones- members could be 5500 points for it.
(I've totally made something like this before using decaying items, falling sand blocks with the ID's and data of chests, and a boat made of 'murica.)
I totally think that they should add the decaying blocks back it makes skywars more interesting and challenges peoples parkour skills and building skills

do you not like decaying blocks. well idk if I should say because I have 1554 deaths total in sw and 60 wins totalso I am not that good.lol
Reason why is that most of the community hates it, and that it can be really annoying for some people who don't have the resources to get the building blocks to mid. It gives an unfair advantage along players to players.

Hmm.. How would the care package land? Does it have to land on some sort of surface? Or can it land in mid air somehow?
Yeah, on surface. Because if you choose to use your points to get this chest it should land next to you or somewhere near you, and if you're on a bridge in skywars, then it would be placed midair next to you, that is, if the bridge is 1 wide. In survival games, it's kind of useless to put it in air unless it's 2-4 blocks above the ground.

Ah. I see where you're coming from now. This idea seems better that having care packages dropped after a certain amount of time. Although that could work for survival games. And the idea you have for skywars. Either way would be fine though.

Decaying items are items with a high age value, making them despawn much faster than normal item entities. A chest riding the item would fall, leaving a care package behind as the boat (which the items and chest blocks are all riding on top of) continues to fly through the sky, dropping more and more chests as it goes.

Also decaying blocks is stupid and should never be added back. (though some sort of ranged block-breaking weapon like a ghast-bow would be awesome >:3)
