I really enjoy creative and hope to be a builder someday! i just wish we could use item frame and paintings in creative it gives a nice texture to a build, hopefully one of u can add it, thank you! bye!

o_O well i think it would be cool because it adds a god texture and i want to use them, how would it cause LAG? :confused:

I kinda like item frames and paintings, stronger, I love them. It's very useful for decorating and such, if they cause lag, let them not be allowed, not sure how it causes lag though.

@halothe23 why do these cause lag?

They are all entities, so our server needs to keep track of every single one of them, were they blocks with no physics it would just be saved to disk and left there, but these have physics and so are kept in memory and processed constantly, causing more resource usage on our side.

The creative server is hosted on a dual hexacore xeon cpu and has like 15GB of RAM Assigned, yet with 150+ people on it hammering down blocks some things need to be left aside to keep lagg-less experience to a certain level. (Also please avoid suggesting using two servers instead of one or any other performance suggestion, we have tried literally most of them and had very little success, which makes the best setup the one we have at the moment.)
