I am a small twitch streamer and recently I have been looking for some other servers to play to give my streams some variety. After looking for a while and not having much luck I remembered about CubeCraft a server I used to play a lot but had stopped playing. After getting on the server I noticed it was way less popular than I remember it back in the day so I decided to come to the forums and see if there was any information on what happened...

That was when I saw the "
We're changing how we run CubeCraft!" post so I decided to check it out and in that post this sentence really stood out to me "As I'm sure a lot of you are aware: 2018 and 2019 were tough years for us. Our server shrank and with it our team, resources and ability to deliver the things that we all wanted to see happen." Which brings me to my suggestion:

Can you guys maybe consider changing the content creator requirements
Here are my reasons I think you guys should change them:
1) It will help the server gain more players and give current players people to watch to keep them engaged in the community

2) The current Twitch requirements are extremely high:
- There are currently only 19 streamers (in the Minecraft category) that have 150+ viewers (can't see what their average is)
- For a server trying to regrow it self targeting streamers with 10K+ followers might be a bit high
3) I have never seen anyone on the server with a content creator rank
4) The current content creators don't seem to be uploading CubeCraft content
5) It would help people discover the server because more content would be out there

What I think the requirements should be:
YouTube:
Drop the required amount of subscribers down to at least 15K (I would recommend going lower until you have some active content creators), and drop the view requirement to 500 per video within a few days of release
Twitch: Drop the required amount of followers down to 2-5K (I would recommend 500-1000 until you have 2-3 active streamers) and drop the required viewer average to 10-20 (a pretty good amount on twitch)
I would also suggest adding a new requirement related to how many unique views the streamers get per stream (because this can help you determine how many new players they might bring)
Mixer: I am not super familiar with mixer but I would recommend dropping the follower requirement to 100-250 and the average viewers to 3 (I based this number off the total amount of viewers the entire game has ATM which is 852 with the top streamer having 184)
Other: I think for non Minecraft creators the requirements are pretty fair (because they probably wont upload/stream much) but could be lowered

There looking for what 90K subs for YouTube which is ridiculous. I mean it’s possible but for this specific network is beyond unreasonable. Even back when cube got lots of players one of the highest Minecraft streamers active on cube only had 22k (Turned out he sub botted) but my point stands the requirements should be lowered way way down.

I did some more math to solidify my point:
My channel is currently at 324 followers and I gain an average of 47 unique viewers a day. Out of those 47 I would say anywhere from 3-7 of them follow and get on the server I am playing.
This means a channel my size could bring anywhere from 90-210 new players (or returning players) on the server per month. Although sometimes people follow and never come back or they play the server once and then stop.
With that being said I still think even three content creators my size would at least bring 100 active players a month which would help the server grow.

I am glad you guys are agreeing with what I had to say, now lets hope a staff member notices this thread.

In my opinion, the minimum requirements for Mixer that you have submitted could be slightly higher, but furthermore, I agree. I have never thought about it this way... Thank you for providing it, I Hope that arrangements will be made!

I do agree that the mixer ones could be a bit higher. As I said I have no experience on mixer so the mixer numbers were just from what I saw.

@pcgus i very much agree with you i fell like this game has been losing polarity the past few months and i think the requirements for content creator should be less

I think a requirement should be added, which would be "upload a video on the server 1 time a month" or something like that. There are some people who at the time got the Youtuber rank but right now they don't upload videos, I agree with the requirements but maybe they should change them to 20k.

I agree that they should add rule/requirement something along the lines of "upload a video on the server at least once a month", but I think 20k is a bit high for the current standing of cubecraft

Maybe their idea is that quality > quantity? Who knows, but this definitely seems interesting. Wouldn't wanna go too low on the requirements, though. Would love to see a staff reaction to this in the future.

I agree that they shouldn't sacrifice quality for quantity and that they shouldn't go too low. However I still think they need to lower the requirements to what I had originally posted and have a temporary set of requirements until they have a few active YouTubers/Twitch streamers.

Disagree with mixer, it should be the same as twitch. But other than that, yes I totally agree. If this server was still getting regularly 10-30k player like it used to, I'd disagree. But it's a much smaller network now, and just can''t afford to have those requirements.
