too many impersonating on freenode

i tested my friends on freenode aimee2323 so i logged in on freenode on a different username, awsomepingu205 to see if she could realize. it took her 30mins to realize i wasnt using my account, so when someone impersating comes one she would think it wasnt someone else

Don't use freenode to pass on bank details or other sensitive information to your friends, As long as everyone is conscious that it is possible to use fake usernames it should not be a big issue. Check the username is exactly that of your friend.
