Instead of removing permanent ranks why not add both it gives players more options to choose like what if you want the rank but don't want to keep it forever or want to keep it forever. You will make more money than before and it will make people more happy.
Totally agree giving players the option to choose between monthly or lifetime ranks would increase flexibility and likely boost both satisfaction and revenue.

In my opinion, maintaining two rank systems does not seem ideal tbh. I don't the point in keeping permanent ranks if newer features and other cosmetics are going to be added to subscriptions only - leaving permanent ranks neglected and rather not worth to buy with not much value being added to them. Subscriptions seem to work better in providing a good income flow as we can see with Java.

All gamemodes will die with subscriptions, due the the pre existence of permanent ranks

I agree, but no matter how many voice disapproval at this transition to subscription based ranks they will never listen since they know best.

As someone who is VIP 30 and has spent a lot of money on this server, if they were subscriptions before I had bought them, I would have never bought them. Subscriptions like that are stupid. The permanent ranks are much better, and adding to them only increases the value, which would incentivize players to purchase them more often. Instead of adding subscriptions, maybe cubecraft could focus on putting out more games, then there would be more ranks to purchase. I do believe that beta games should stay a subscription, but everything else is just asking for the server to die. Also add cooler bundles, the hacker bundle with the corrupt prefix was dope as hell, all the other bundles are lackluster. Cubecraft is kind of turning into Mineville where every cool feature is stuck behind a paywall. It seems like the only people who agree with the subscription changes are the people working for cubecraft, maybe because they think it'll make more money.

The reason why Cubecraft prefers subscription ranks over permanent ranks is very simple. They get more revenue from subscription ranks than from permanent ranks. And if you think this isn’t true, then why do you think they removed permanent ranks from Java and replaced them with subscription ranks almost 2 years ago, and haven’t gone back?

And yes, it is annoying that we can no longer buy permanent ranks, because that is WAY CHEAPER for us players! I probably wont pay for any subscription ranks anymore for this very reason. For example Obsidian rank on Java is 13,85€ per month. It doesn’t seem like a lot at first glance, but that is 166,2€ per year… And to me the ability to vote and have some cosmetics definitely isn’t worth that much money.

But from Cubecrafts point of view there really is no reason to go back to permanent ranks. Because even though many will not buy these new ranks, there will still be a lot of people who will still buy them. Or atleast this is how things have went on Java after they replaced permanent ranks to subscription based ranks.
