Skywars Speed adding?

Skywars is a fun game for me, but why not with speed?

I personally don't want this.

Since there is eggwars & UHC that already have this mode.
I think adding it too skywars will be overkilling with the same idea, and woul get repetitive.

I don't want this for skywars. If you choose a map with the islands close, it's like a speed skywars. You have the option of choose a small map or a big map. I usually choose small maps with the islands close because I hate long games where players go to middle and camp... so do it like me.

Just for curiosity, how would you do speed skywars?

I don't really know how you can make a game mode like Skywars really any faster, besides making smaller maps. Which you already can find...

The speed mode equivalent is only effective for specific games, It works with Egg Wars and UHC because their standard modes are very slow and can last for a while whereas Skywars is always fast, the islands are small, close together and games usually finish within 10 minutes. Adding Speed Skywars would be a lazy move and wouldn't really benefit the gamemode as a whole and would be generally quite boring.

I really don't want something like Speed Skywars as Skywars is already speedy enough because you have a lot of small maps and if you can speedbuild you have more advantage. And if you want to play it on speedy mode, choose the kit with the 3 speed potions;). Shortly, my games are fast enough and I don't want a Speed Skywars gamemode.

I like normal Skywars more because:
1. The islands aren't flat so it's hard to run with speed
2. If you want to build fast, learn speedbuild (or normal build)

But I'd like to have a new lobby because I don't like the skywars lobby :p

I mean, there are so many pros and cons about Speedy Skywars, which some people have already mentioned, but in my opinion, it shouldn't be a thing.

Skywars is already a quick game.

More quick then Speed Eggwars and UHC, so adding Speed Skywars would pretty much be useless.

If you want a faster game of Skywars, Chose Overpowered Items.
