basically give skywars a reason to grind it with some wort of progression system similar to hypixels or sommin otherwise the game has no real objective and gets boring quick

You can grind for leaderboards thats the objective for most of the people... Just imagine you being in the top 50 people on the server :D

Why everyone wants to make cubecraft more similar to other servers? Isnt it good that cubecraft is original?

Yes! We're lucky to have what is called the 'level system' already! You can get experience by winning, playing games, eliminating opponents and even by being friendly on the network (GG +1 EXP)! You can see your level and progress in your experience bar right above your item slots, as well as in the scoreboard in the main lobbies on the side of your screen!
