I honestly am not gonna bother to make an introduction.

Well, the thing is that there is an ability to display votes publicy when creating a poll. It's very annoying to be questioned for your own choice. If people's not mature enough to understand that other people can have other opinions on a thing, they should just stop making polls about it. Also, it is just a simple way to control what people's voting and that's pretty stupid tbh.

That's not why people want to know why someone voted no.
It's not a case of ''I don't agree with you so now I'm going to hate you!!''
At least not for me.
I just want to know people's opinion so I can change their mind, and maybe it'll have more impact on management. (Which.. it doesn't.. But still..) It's nice to have more people agree with your suggestion.
So I 100% disagree with removing making votes publicy. If anything should be removed with polls, it should be the option to not make votes public.

But still, even if you want to know the people's who's voted no reasons, you can just add "explain why" next to the "no" option. If they don't give a reason it's probably because they must have their own personal reasons and they should be respected. And yes, I know they can just reply with a "no" when you tag them to give a reason, but it's a way too long process and is usually not respected by other users.

You can ignore them as well, you can ask them ''I'd rather not explain''
There is nothing wrong with this feature.
You might not like to explain your opinion, and we'd like to see who voted for something.
It's simple to just keep it, rather then remove it

Or people just could stop tagging people for their own decision.
Also there's something called "secret ballot". People's choices or opinions should not be questioned if they don't want to. As I said before, if they're willing to share their opinion, they will. No need to force them.

Asking them =/= forcing them to answer

Most of the time it's just nice to see who voted what, especially if you have a poll with very many options.
Yes it's nice for who wants to see the votes, but what about for the ones who dont? Pretty weak argument tbh

There's an option to not be able to view what people voted? And if you don't apply that who says you have to click on the vote to see who voted what? And if you're a voter and somebody asks why you voted it and you don't want to tell you can just simply say you don't want to or ignore them.

You can see if your vote will be public. If you don't want people to see your vote: don't vote.

The thing is that privacy is a thing. It's pretty upsetting that people keep questioning your choice, and if you just ignore or say "no" they will reply with something like "oh well then your vote will not be counted".

Pretty stupid what you said here. Everyone's opinions should be taken in consideration and should not be stopped cause they want to keep their privacy.
Let's go for the happy medium, @Falliam and @Cuteee

What about that option being edited so only the thread creator is able to see who voted what :)
I'm much more on favour to add an option that allows people who dont want their vote to be exposed to be anonymous when voting.

If you don't want your vote to be public. Don't vote.
If you still do want to vote, just do it and stop making such a big deal out of it

I wish it could work like this but it just doesn't. I've seen people consistently pressuing people to reply to the thread, just because they voted no. It's not something that people should just "get over" or ignore, it's something that needs to be addressed. People have a right to anonymitity and they shouldn't have that taken away just because someone wants to see who voted what. I don't even get why it matters. Sure, it can be nice to see but that does not mean that it is needed.

This is somewhat better than currently, but the same issue still stands because usually it is the server owner who's trying to force people to respond and being passive aggressive when they dont.

It is. You don't like your vote to be public, and I do.
Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean everyone should suffer on that.
Public votes have been here (as far as I know) as long as I joined the forums. Which is almost 3 years. You should get used to it.
If you don't want your vote to be public, don't vote. If you do want to vote, stop complaining.

You've literally just repeated the exact same thing you said before. As I said already, people get pressured to reply to the thread when they don't want to. The fact that people know what people have voted isn't the issue, it's the way people use that information. It IS used to pressure people to reply to threads. People are being made uncomfortable due to the use of this feature and I see no reason to give people a way to be rude and unpleasant to others.

Ignore those people. Don't reply. Just tell you your opinion. Say ''I'd rather not explain''
