I don't like disagreeing and not explaining why, especially if there's several reasons I disagree, so I'll explain it briefly.
Java and Bedrock are very different on a lot of levels, from a technical point of view having them be exactly the same is impossible. But they also have completely different playerbases, meaning trying to make the two networks as similar as possible is also a mistake. Obviously different people care about different things, so while a rough similarity connects the two networks, overdoing it will cause one or both of the communities to either not get what they want, or also get things they don't want, which takes up unnecessary time, effort, and resources.
In my opinion Bedrock and Java are both already being held back by the differing limitations of the two. To name an example, games such as Bingo are impossible to create on Bedrock, so it was removed from Java as well, which makes no sense to me because it was an actually good game. (You could argue inactivity played a role in the removal of it, and I'm sure it did, but it still doesn't sit right with me.)

Logged onto Cubecraft Java for the first time since 2021/22. I miss these days playing every day when the server would average 5-8k. Looking through my friends list seeing all my friends I would talk to every single day gives me an uneasy yet satisfying feeling.
