Just Googled it to check. All I got was:

"Can you turn fire off on Minecraft?"

When you look something up on google you need to use the right keywords, try "minecraft disable fire animation"...
Other wise in minecraft you can turn off fire with a water bucket or by punching it out.
Spoiler... it is possible to disable the fire animation.

As for the suggestion, I don't see the flames as a vanity item that stays on you indefinitely... Maybe 2-4 seconds, any longer and the lobby will be a lot more laggy and messy.

Client side lag, not everyone have machines that can handle the animations.

True, I already start to lag when I win on teams mode, and my teammates are using the fireworks win effect :l

Give it to players who are level 100+!!!

They deserve a decent reward, and there are so few of them that lag won't be an issue. Also, have it so it doesn't obscure their vision. Very good suggestion, +1
