Item transportation on packed ice is slow

Why item transportation on packed ice is slow?
I don't remember exactly, but before the skyblock-bug it wasn't fast?

I think it could be one of two things, either you have a laggy island or a lot of materials you are trying to transport on the ice or it could be a glitch. I don't use packed ice personally so I wouldn't know. I would recommend you check with one or two items if they move quickly.
