In chat you can use colour and format codes. They allow you to make your text different than the usual chat colour. For example in red, italic, etc. These colour/format codes work in normal chat:

They work in /fmsg:

But they don't work in /msg:

The screenshots are all for &o (which makes your text italic) but the same applies to any other colour/format code. This is apparently not a bug, but there's no reason for it to be this way either, so I suggest to just make colour codes work in /msg like they usually do.

Hi xHappyMood, sorry for us taking a long time to reply to your suggestion.

We discussed this internally and decided to mark this suggestion as planned, as the suggestion gives consistency to the various chats we have. We will be looking into adding this minor change onto our network somewhere rather soon.

Anyway I would be less online in the forums and on minecraft due to exams. Now you might be asking, "Didn't it happen like a while ago?" Yes, but the school has to make me suffer by doing it every 2-3 months, so don't mind if I casually leave for like 2 weeks. Just need to suffer till end of may :D
