Should this be implemented?

Recently I found myself working with someone on a thread, and it seemed that the only way of sharing a complete version of the thread we were cooperating on was either, sending screenshots or copying and pasting it all on a private conversation.

There should be an option to create threads in groups, with real time changes from other users (just like in many document editing platforms). Maybe this could work as an "invitation system" you can either invite or get invited to collaborate on a thread, you can reject or accept this invitation.

About likes, if the thread receives 2 likes, each user gets 2 likes accounted to their statistics.

Thanks for reading, this is still a very undeveloped idea that seemed useful to have here on the forums. Any type of feedback is appreciated.

For me it's just not a good idea, because it's my opinion. I would also not like to start with people in 1 conversation, by the way, this is already possible in a private conversation.

That’s what I said. But in a conversation you’re not able to edit other’s messages.

I've been looking around and *afaik* there's no way to assign likes to two accounts, but it's possible to have a thread which only 2 people can see and edit, although in order to have this a staff member has to manually do smth. not sure if that's worth it as most threads are from staff and they have a staff forum, but ofc it'd be great.

I would like to see this, it kind of gives me the Google Docs feeling. But as Keanu said, it’s probably not possible.

Nice idea, but this isn't going to be worth the dev time, particularly when you can use existing free services to do this. It might be useful for 1-2 threads every 6 months or so.

I'm pretty sure just using conversations for this would work fine, like if you allowed others to edit posts with a tick box when starting the conversation, that could be quite simple as conversations and threads are nearly exactly the same as is. The splitting of likes wouldn't be necessary really but something like this would be nice:
