Are Beacons working??

I've made it to the last nether island, completed the make a beacon quest, but it won't let me add a diamond, iron or gold ingot, or an emerald.

I have a 3x3 to a 7x7 gold block pyramid, but the item won't stay in its slot.

Yeah, they don't work. I tried it and it also didn't work.

They don’t work, and for some reason they also have the option to add a netherite ingot

as long as u r talking about java they do work. i had some problems with it- not accepting iron but after some replacing and opening the beacon GUI and closing it couple times it stoped being ''gray'' and accepted my iron
