    I'm bored and have nothing better to do with my life at the moment, so here's a list of all references so far in Cubecraft's lobby games.

    Lobby Fishing:
    • Ex-Sand Castle - Name references Monty Python's "Dead Parrot" sketch. Namely, the famous line "This is an ex-parrot!"
    • Forlorn Footwear - Flavor text is a reference to Guardians of the Galaxy's Groot
    • Lily Pad - Flavor text is a play on words on the popular iPad smart device
    • Rusty Bucket - Flavor text is a reference to Bukkit, the software many servers used to use for their plugins. It's been mostly replaced by Spigot, a newer, arguably better replacement for the software.
    • Disturbingly Buoyant Pebble - A semi-reference to the scene in Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail where a peasant suggests that small rocks can float.
    • Nether Starfish - Flavor text is a reference to Spongebob Squarepants' best friend, Patrick Star
    • Sunken Sea Shanty - Flavor text is a reference to Nirvana's hit song, Smells Like Teen Spirit
    • Beach Towel - Flavor text is a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Ford Prefect cites a towel as the most important thing a galactic hitchhiker can carry with them.
    • Sponge Block - Obvious reference to Spongebob Squarepants
    • Li'l Iceberg - Reference to the Titanic, which sank after striking an iceberg
    • Hootie - Reference to the band Hootie and the Blowfish
    • Captain Cubebeard's Cap - Reference to the famous pirate captain, Captain Blackbeard
    • Sea Biscuit - Reference to the famous race horse of the same name
    • Impressive Pearl - Reference to the phrase "Cast ye not your pearls before swine." Also a reference to the comic strip Pearls Before Swine.
    • Narwhal Horn - Flavor text is a reference to the song Narwhals by MrWeebl.
    • Neptune's Crown - Reference to Neptune, Roman god of the sea and water
    • Floral Coral - Flavor text refers to the song Octopus's Garden by the Beatles
    • Concerned Clownfish - Reference to Marlin, Nemo's dad in Finding Nemo
    • Seahorse Saddle - Reference to Spongebob's seahorse, Mystery
    • Captain's Hat - Reference to the film Captain Phillips
    • Eye of Cthulhu - Reference to both the cosmic being from the Lovecraftian literary world as well as the boss in Terraria

    Relic Hunting:
    • Piece o' Pyramid - Reference to the song Walk Like An Egyptian by The Bangles
    • Stock of Wheat - Semi-reference to Stock of Wheat by They Might Be Giants
    • Papyrus Scroll - Meta-reference to the Lobby Fishing item Drenched Parchment
    • Old Amber - Double reference to the item in Pokemon as well as to the amber used to extract dinosaur DNA in Jurassic Park
    • Bernie the Fern - Reference to Senator Bernie Sanders, who ran in the 2016 US Presidential Election
    • Forbidden Cookbook - Self-reference to Norman's Diner, a musical I wrote for playwriting class back in college
    • Grim Scythe - Reference to the Grim Reaper, who famously carries a scythe for harvesting souls
    • Witch's Cauldron - Reference to the famous line in Shakespeare's Macbeth
    • Dragonslayer Sword - Reference to a line in the song With the Dark by They Might Be Giants
    • Volcanic Salsa - A food item in the game Starbound
    • Lutefisk - Reference to lutefisk, which is a fish dish made by soaking fish in water and lye, or sometimes birch ash.
    • Spooky Gourd - Obvious reference to Halloween jack o'lanterns
    • Fizzy Raspberry Juice - Reference to the Spongebob line "This is an extreme thirst!"
    • Dormant Warhead - Reference to Lost Saga's relic item, Nuke Fossil
    • Lucy's Skull - Double reference to the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds and Lucy, a famous hominid fossil named after the same song
    • Mayan Calendar Fragment - Reference to the doomsday theory predicting the end of the world in 2012
    Holiday Fishing Items:
    • Love Boat - Reference to The Little Mermaid's song "Kiss de Girl"
    • Heart of the Ocean - Name of the priceless jewel featured in The Titanic
    • Pigfish Egg - References Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham
    • C'thulhu Egg - Obvious reference to H.P. Lovecraft's mythical monster, C'thulhu
    • Freighter Exhaust Port - Reference to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure stand Strength, which takes the form of a freighter
    • Lighthouse Lightbulb - "Keeps the beaches shipwreck free" is a line from the They Might Be Giants song "Birdhouse in Your Soul"
    • Ocean Stone - Double Jojo's Bizarre Adventure reference. Part 6 of Jojo's is titled Stone Ocean and features a stand named Diver Down.

    Holiday Relics:
    • Block o' Love - "Put a little love in your heart is a line from the song of the same name
    • Lover's Lighter - "Come on baby, light my fire" is a line from The Doors' "Light My Fire"
    • Cupid's Arrow - "Shot through the heart and you're to blame" is a line from Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name"
    • Green Egg - Another reference to Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham
    • Golden Egg - Reference to the fairy tale "The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg"
