There is a mos called advanced capes. That mod will give you a cape for free. I wanna use it but is this allowed?

This mod will be categorized under "Vanity mods".
It is allowed but

Using an inappropriate cape with a mod like Optifine is not allowed

Using a mod to violate any of our server’s rules will still result in the application of the respective punishment and potentially the outlawing of that mod.

Like What @Scottness have said it is allowed. It is certainly illegal, But a friend of me has it also. You can use your mod.

No, it is probably not illegal, and if it is then only the mod creator will get punished as it is his fault that people may be using.
Either way, it would be the least illegal thing you could ever do. Anyways, use it if you want to, but if it has the option to use optifine capes or minecon capes, then if you want to be 100% sure nothing happens to you then just don't use those (Although, nothing will happen anyways, but just in case you want to be on the sure side).

It is where you are allowed to use the mod! But wouldn't you want to say lock? The one that the thread created has permitted to determine that. ;)

As long as the mod doesn't give any advantage in-game, then it's allowed.
