Don't be that guy lol. A damage indicator is knowledge, and will lead to different outcomes. If player A and B get in a fight, and player A runs away with 3 hearts and runs by player C, player C would be able to see that and they would likely go for the kill instead of possibly letting player A run.

My suggestion to you OP: before coming to the community with your idea, perhaps you could figure out more of the details and try to think of the negative effects that your suggestion may come with. It's important to not be biased with your own suggestion because the best ideas have downsides...
