Yes but earthquake would destroy the map, mobs could spawn inside house, thunderstorm can destroy player-based blocks, and meteors can destroy anything.

I would love to see this feature added, I'm sure it would be a great way to test if certain suggestions are worth adding or not, many of them are declined for this reason.

I am not exactly for or against this addition, there are both advantages and disadvantages. Biggest advantage I can see, it would be a really effective way to stop campers. As for disadvantage, I think this item would be really too op due to many reasons.
