As rainbows are different sizes from every point of view. I'd say the star is not really a star, but some sort of object that gives light. With a bunch of heavy objects between it and you, due to gravity the light from the object gets redirected. Now, one of those object doesn't have a constant mass, the mass changes for some reason according to where you are, making the object bigger and smaller as you move.
The moon is 5 stars big, but the earth is only 4 stars big, how big is a star, if you know that a star is 3 rainbows (if it's raining, because if the sun shines, it's 4 rainbow)?
Calculate how big the star is :)
