to clarify, I locked it because it was originally posted in suggestions, which it clearly isn't and also because it was clearly just a rant with zero actual value.
@RemiO05 you should perhaps check the forum rules. We don't need to give reasons when locking threads. In this case, I put as much effort into my lock message as went in to creating the thread...
"Check the forums rules" - one of you guys literally added that rule 1 day after I made that thread. Just admit that it's hard for you to remember certain things, and we would understand. Age brings consequences with it, and memory loss is one of them.
Tacosbefriends: "Temptation to lock this thread without posting explanation first is high.
I've notified all staff that they must post the reason for locking whenever locking a thread. Consider this implemented! ".
This is confusing imo.
Read that phrase again. "they must post the reason for locking". Note the must. Then there's you, saying they aren't required.
What's confusing me is that two administrators are saying two different things and it's not clear which one is right.
In this case, the rules post clearly states what may or may not happen with your posts/threads. How do you suggest it could be reworded so that it is less difficult to understand?
that's not whats confusing me, its that tacos is saying something contrary to those rules which makes me think they may have been changed but not been updated
