have you tried harvesting it with a hoe? I don't play mobile very often but harvesting other crops with hoes has always seemed to work. It won't let you open the menu with a hoe in your hand. I haven't played all the way up to sugarcane though so it might not work.

I broke my last stone pickax and need to craft a wood one to get cobble so I can get more stone tools. Why isn’t it keeping the pick? I need cobble. When I try to craft it, it consumes the pick. Video proof: not sure if this is a bug or not
