so...
the design team is gone.
That means;
- no new maps (CubeCrafts only source of updates atm)
- no new ranks/marketplace content (cubes only source of income)
- no new lobbies/events

Now... Whoever made this decision forgot that designers are CONTRACTED - meaning it's a pay-as-you-work basis.

so... money wasn't an issue here... but it will be now...

Cube has a source of income from people buying ranks though

Whoever made this decision would have been fully aware of how the design team is paid

It's possible they were being paid and releasing content, but Cube just weren't receiving enough profit in return for their investment into a big marketplace team

All will hopefully be explained soon seen as they're making a thread about this afaik (based on san's goodbye).

Obviously this is just my analysis, maybe the thread will disprove what I'm saying completely, but this is what I'm seeing atm

I would like to clear some things up about the work that our team was doing.

You may not know this, CubeCraft sells content on the Minecraft Bedrock Marketplace. The team that was removed recently, was the one that created these minigames, add-ons and worlds. As sad as this shrinking is for the Marketplace community, the players on the server will not notice any difference. You might even notice the better focus on the server from the management!
During my time as a designer, I have never made a single thing for the server, and some of my colleagues have neither.

There is still a level designer left that has a lot of experience with building maps. The one that did leave, was more active for the worlds that we sold on the marketplace.

The one designer that did this the most is still here as well!

The community events are organised the (volunteering) moderators. New server content is made by the developers.

That's true! But why would you keep a full team contracted when you don't have work for them that is profitable enough?

In conclusion, this is not such a big deal for the server, as most of us did not have anything to do with it.
