You won't be able to tell, I wouldn't like it if someone could see that I've viewed their post either since they would mostly be like "why don't you reply/give me your opinion?"
You can see how many people view your threads though.
When you go to the section of the the thread, it would say "replies x" "views x"

As for the suggestion I think that yes this could make people spam their thread asking for replies so I think I am going to have to stay with seeing how many there are and not who they are
