What should Cubecraft do about the problem outlined?

  • Receive full health upon a kill

  • Receive full health upon a kill if you dealt 50% of damage to the player

  • Receive regen II until you are at max health

  • Soup/pots server

  • Do nothing, It's fine how it is

I am finding it more and more frustrating and difficult to pvp on this server. This is because when I pvp, I win, and am immediately vulnerable, as i am very low on health. This generally results in death immediately after. I have realised sometimes you gain a small health boost, however this is infrequent and inconsistent. I propose that you either: give the player full health after a kill as a reward, meaning you are fully ready to pvp again (maybe make this only apply if you are responsible for over 50% of the damage to the player, or give regen II instead?), or, make the server a soup/pots server (unlikely but still an option). These will fix this problem in my opinion and make pvp and killstreaks an actual reality.

I agree, I honestly like this idea, because, like you said, it's really annoying when people end up cleaning in game, so this could be a solution to that. You'd be able to kill a lot more people and have a better chance at increasing your killstreak.

Another thing this does is making it a lot easier to practice PvP with your friends, you wouldn't have to be killed right away/waiting to regen since you're already at full health ready to fight your opponent again.

As much as I like this idea I don't think it'll be implemented since FFA is 'Free For All' after all and CubeCraft likes to keep things vanilla and more challenging. But who knows?

Well, I can say this idea is actually amazing... I belive it is 100% achievable and that if get enough attention, you can make this happen... Good luck with that, I believe hundreds or even thousands will benifit from that!

I have not played FFA for that long but I can see the problem. I've played it a couple of times and almost every time got cleaned by someone watching and waiting on the right time. like you said it would be great if you have done more than 50% of the kill that you get a regeneration boost (instantly healing someone to full health is a little OP).

I've seen this stuff requested in all sorts of game modes and I just want to quickly explain why I think it's a bad idea and actually increases smarter cleaning.

In most situations in the current gameplay style, people generally clean after you've killed someone, so logically we all think- if they gave us some health for that kill then we'd get a fair fight when that cleaner comes for us. But there are more ways to clean than just that.

The other way to clean people is to enter the fight just before one of them dies and kill both of them, taking both kills. If we implemented your suggestion then the cleaner would actually get the health boost making them even harder to kill and giving them pretty much a 100% chance of taking you down.

I believe doing this would just create a new staple of smarter cleaning and wouldn't actually solve the issue at all, I feel like there is a better solution somewhere.

I see your point but i think its fine as it is due to the fact it can give the other player who tries to clean you a better chance making it harder for you to fight. But it can get too op when you heal yourself after a kill. You can reach a point when your just too op and then it can change the basis of the game.

Now I play ffa and I think its fine as it is. Yes it can get annoying but you can also do it to other players too.
