Totally agree to this suggestion, the command was very useful for content creators in order to interact with your viewers, specially if the person had to leave the game for several reasons but didn't want to ruin the viewers' gameplay.

Being a builder (personally) I really like the freedom and creativity you get to use in 1.12+ so it will be a huge slap on the back of the server to expand visually. Agree.

I bet it is, most of the things Simply has on his build Kimbert added them on his build, which shows a lack of originality, for example the vines, the map layout, lucky blocks, flowers, the setting, the style of the trees. Most of those things are in Simply's build.
