Just like Eggwars, I think that all minigames on Cubecraft should have 2 modes. A mode for 1.9 combat and another mode for 1.8 combat. This way, players will be able to play all of Cubecraft's minigames in their preferred combat style.

This server probably won't go back to 1.7 / 1.8. Although I personally would like it, most of the Cubecraft player base play this server for the 1.9 combat because most other big servers use 1.7 / 1.8 combat. That is what makes this server unique I think. (Didn't mean to rhyme haha).

A lot of people are saying they don't like the knockback mode idea, but I personally think I would enjoy it as long as there are maps built for it so the islands are bigger, otherwise the game would be too easy to knock people off. I also think that the knockback should be quite a high number...

Good idea, however, I think that instead of this being a yearly thing, it should be termly. That way, players will have more opportunities to take part in it. A year seems like a long time for a player to wait if they ever miss the event after they have been waiting to compete in it for the...
