@Gregeyy that's just stupid to say. I have my own opinion on certain matters and don't think having an adult section would be a bad idea, considering Cube's community isn't just minors. I think it would be an enrichment to the community.
Honestly I’m getting tired of those of comments. Yes, I was a wannabe, and a like farmer, and I’m not proud of it, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t change my mind/improve and have my own opinion.
@Gregeyy i made that assumption, because you placed me in a box, too. Right now we’re just having a normal conversation and there’s nothing wrong with you. We can deliberate on any topic you like
@Younisco the first solid argument. And i have to say. You’re completely right. That’s why I suggest to make an own server so it’s not your responsebility. When I or anyone else makes a major offense you still have the option to permban us from your network like in the past.
What are the risks involved? I don't see any problems with a section where people can use certain swearwords and use darker humour. You'd just need strict guidelines, that's it.
The amount of requests that we get regarding people not having the correct age is astonishing, you'd be genuinely surprised. If we're making a node which I would suppose would automatically open when a forum member is 18 (on their profile), then those people who do not have the correct age may be exposed to content that they shouldn't be.
This is our responsibility to enforce, and seems like an impossible task without getting people to give us proof of identity upon signing up for the forums, which we will likely never do.
We shouldn't be encouraging / allowing dark humour or swearing on any of our platforms to be consistent with our server rules and community standards. :]
About the original topic of this profile post, I do agree that locking suggestions is a bit weird. Especially ones like those that were original (maybe not an idea a lot of people agree with, but still, it wasn't suggested before), and you could see there was some thought put into it. But one sentence suggestions that have been suggested a lot of times before don't get locked .-.
