Sorry to say, but I think you just got outplayed. A bow is no use at close range, you just need to fight them on your own turf instead of theirs. Any fight that's out in the open is going to disadvantage the melee player when the opponent has Punch.
Though I will concede that punch-spamming takes far less skill than tactically placing blocks during your approach.

Well yeah, that's true, but... my shield was bugged because I couldn't hit him, so I pulled my shield once, and got knocked off. And actually, the map Tea Party, there were a couple holes at mid and shot me in that on purpose ofcourse. I always fight with a sword on fields but not with a bow.
