the issue with this is that i cant submit reports, so i need to pick between being on the same playing field as other users or submitting reports. That doesnt seem right to me

happily there are some other health indicator mods, next to labymod, which you can install via forge so you have both a health indicator and can report :3

I find having health indicator much more fun really. In Blockwars at least it lets you put much more thought into what fights you take and who to target. It's much more interesting than just hitting and praying for them to die. I've seen other health indicator mods in the past but they have never had as clean of a health display as labymod. I really hope there are some out there.

In a server with a good anticheat, trying to get reports really shouldn't be a focus lol and I'm hoping the sentinel upgrade will change that. Obviously chat reports are a problem too but couldn't staff just check the logs for those?

yeah but that is the issue, vanilla players (and people like me who use badlion) dont have the ability to chose who to fight, if i see someone i need to hope that they have the same or less health then me, i dont get to know that. That is an unfair advantage and i personally dont think and damage indicator mods should be allowed.

Well you could argue the advantages point to the extreme and say that optifine zoom should be allowed because you can see what players are doing further away for example what level a diamond gen is on someone's base. Or go even further and say people with 144hz monitors or better fps have an advantage.

There's a cut off at some point and that's normally the line between making the game simpler and easier to play (e.g. armour durability displays) and things that give a physical advantage (map with players). I'd say that health indicators are in the former.

optifine zoom is just a hotkey for setting fov to minimum, it is something that could be done in vanilla, and you cannot control if someone has a better computer, the fps issue will never be fixable because there is always someone with low fps

the whole point is if you are getting an ability that is not possible in vanilla you shouldnt be able to have that. everything you have listed (besides the health indicator and minimap) are completely doable in vanilla
