Well, they appeared to have no slow? This was discussed amongst staff, so there were opinions that came to reach this conclusion.

The player could have pressed or hold a sprint key to keep running instead of slowing down

They were able to eat and run at the same time, like normal speed, which as far as I know is not possible without any sort of modification.
