On another note, what is the grading system in the Netherlands, I have heard that it is different from the one in the US.

You basically need at least all 6’s and a 4 or 5 (or two 5’s). You have to compensate them with 7’s or higher. For maths, dutch and english you can only have one 5. (Central and school exams combined). On your central exam you need an average of 5,5.
