@SanCookie Ultimately that is your decision, sorry to hear you feel that way (: if there is any particular reason you wish to share feel free and I can see if there is an accommodation or explanation missing.

Of course there is! Otherwise I wouldn’t be posting that. There doesn’t always need to be a context, if someone says “wow dude ur f***(bypass of the f word in chat) bad” it would make sense that they swore, chat open or not.

Though it can be important to see the whole chat since it's kinda common that people trigger others ect. It's not an excuse to swear but some things could be seen as bullying or as something bad that you could get punished for. Which also gives staff a hint of how it all happened.

Context is ALWAYS important in any chat offence. May not seem like it to you currently, but it is vital that staff have the context as we were not there like the reporter was. On top of this, opening your chat is quite easy for a screenshot compared to taking one right after the instance happens. I do not think this will cause a massive inconvenience to you all.

Does this mean people who 'bully' someone who has been annoying them first will now be treated softer? If so, I support! +1

Well, there is no context if you die in skywars and swear, other that the kill message, which mostly is visible on the screenshot (in my reports at least)

Also, announcing a rule change via a status post is not really a great thing to inform a server with 2k+ players

@SanCookie As far as I know, they are looking for more ways to inform the rest of the players.

As for the whole thing, having the chat open will help the staff be able to determine what happened to cause what was being said which broke a rule. Plus, there are those people out there that like to hide things by just screenshotting when the person they (want to) report says something bad. ;P
