Five minutes ago, I thought tonight's episode had crazy potential. Like somebody had created a trap to turn the Doctor's companions against her or something. Nope, just a talking frog without any friends. That makes 7/9 episodes that have had stupid, disappointing endings that ruin everything :) :) :)

Wut, is this true?

Why is there a series finale trailer already? I mean it's ridiculous. They are completely ruining Jodi Whittiker and her companions with this garbage of episodes. I'm not even going to start with the fact that they don't start a bit of the episode before going into the intro.

I believe there was conflict between the interests of the BBC, and Jodie and Chibnall, who did not believe they could sustain thirteen episodes. We know there was a huge emphasis on making the writing and production teams as diverse as possible; all but one editor are women, and there is an even gender split in regards to producers.

This might explain the poor quality. When you prioritise diversity over actual quality, you are guaranteed to run into some issues. This might also explain the lack of overarching story, which will not do this season kindly in the future since there is nothing that defines it. No Bad Wolf, no four knocks, no cracks in time; just Jodie's debut season. Yay(?)

Jodie is also trying to accuse critics of racism/sexism and is strongly focused towards the reception of Rosa. This is really shady if I'm honest, it seems like she's trying to distract people from the awful writing by masking all criticism as bigotry when that is the least of people's complaints.

Rumours say that Chibnall and Jodie are also set to leave at the end of season 12, which is the shortest of any showrunner and second-shortest of NewWho Doctors. Seven of the nine episodes thus far have been domestic, and three of which have been set in present-day. This is a Sci-Fi show about exploring the universe, and they are too scared to leave Earth.

Going conspiracy mode now: Something is seriously wrong with the reputable critics of this show. DigitalSpy describe the newest episode as "brilliant and baffling"; Rotten Tomatoes rates the season 95/100; MetaCritic rates it 78/100. Are they watching the same show as us? I think they must have some invested interest in giving this show inflated ratings, because this whole season has been objectively bad.

Poor line deliveries, inconsistencies that really should not exist (how do you forget that you killed a character the week before???), protagonist-centred morality, stale companions that never have enough to do each episode so they just flock to their destination in groups, unimaginative settings (i.e. Earth, Earth and occasionally even Earth).
