@Commissioned eh no, it's not better than nothing because he's Helper and not Mod, also, he always get on too late and can't really answer questions or help the Swedish people when it's day-time in Sweden.

So this will keep being a problem for a while. Also, they could have got Swedish staff but denied like 4 people who could have helped the server so much.

If there were good candidates, we'd hire them. Simple as. It's not our fault.

You could say that about anyone, this is why applications and interviews exist, to avoid hiring bad staff...

We're not throwing Helper ranks around like dinner tickets, they have to be carefully selected to avoid poor choices and ensure highest quality. :)

Yes, I know that, the thing is that, even active players with messages, reports and things they ask for get denied just because staff don't really want to give them a chance and that's my point, sometimes, the system is a bit stupid and people who could have done so much can do nothing just because of this.

an active player with messages and reports doesn't necessarrily mean they will be a decent staff member.

@Commissioned No but think about it, if that player report a lot, are active and try to show how good they are, shouldn't they at least get a chance or an interview?

No, because if they screw up then we all look bad and it impacts the team and players on the server.

Because the person can't tell other people about it.

@Commissioned But I'm talking about if the application look good but they still deny, the interview could just help them to see if the person would be good or not. You can't really tell if the person would be good or bad just by looking at the application they got atm.

they look through the users forum and discord posts. i mean, you are saying that anybody who is active (that could be the most toxic user on the forums) should get an interview

They don't just deny people in the application stage for no reason. They obviously found something which wouldn't be expected behaviour of a staff member.
